When an offer is for sale or rent, the owner or the intermediary carrying out the transaction (agency, notary, etc.) must have an EPC certificate.

The rules are regional. Apragaz helps you.

Improving the energy performance of buildings (EPB) is the subject of Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 May 2010 on the energy performance of buildings, which has become law for all Member States.

It aims to reduce overall energy consumption and covers heating, hot water production, cooling, ventilation and lighting.

In Belgium, there may be small differences from region to region.

The certificate is valid for 10 years if the energy characteristics of the building do not change.
