Dielectric testing (porosity)

The porosity test detects pores and cracks in non-conductive surfaces. By means of a potential difference it is possible to detect the defects that cause the dielectric to fail.

The presence of defects in the finished coating is one of the main causes of coating failure and therefore of premature corrosion.

The most important defects are sags, shrinkage, craters, pitting, over- and undersized layers.
